so.

pokemon scarlet and violet has chorizo sold in almost every store in it, meaning eating pork is common in paldea.

this implies one of two things. either real normal animals exist and are considered as lesser than pokemon (what makes them lesser??) or they are slaughtering and eating pig pokemon. now back in sun and moon slowpokes were being guarded because people kept cutting off their tails to eat them. slowpoke tail was considered a delicacy. which means that eating pokemon is more common than one would expect.

in addition, in the pokedex entries for several herb-y pokemon including capsakid, their teeth or whatnot is used as seasoning in authentic paldean dishes.

so clearly pokemon are consumed more often than not, lending credence to the latter theory. this begs the question:

are we willing to believe that we are making sandwiches out of pokemon chorizo that are fed to other pokemon? or are our minds too feeble and afraid to understand the truth of paldea
